Overall Job Purpose

  • Drive the highest levels of quality towards the assigned Segmented Vertical / Vertical Cluster, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Drive performance within the specialized Sales team by exceeding Quality promises and KPI deliverables.

Job Specification - Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver Annual BU targets for the North India Cluster (MINNO).
  • Holds responsibility for performance all assigned Segmented Verticals / Vertical Cluster as defined in the Sales Process.
  • Ensure that the MINNO team is fully motivated and focused.
  • Conduct 1:1 Coaching for all direct reports as per Sales Cadence defined in CXS.
  • Participate in all task / activities related to Strategy 2030.
  • Lead during Weekly SD: SMG meeting.
  • Drive the identification of new opportunities by the team so that there is a robust Sales Pipeline.
  • Coach and steer Segmented Vertical / Vertical Cluster teams to achieve set targets for the Cluster.
  • Responsible for achieving CH annual targets and goals under Project Optimus for MINNO.
  • Conduct regular joint meetings with all LKA and large Customers.
  • Regularly review customer portfolios jointly with Sales.
  • Ensure QBR as directed by Sales Director.
  • Fully support all activities under Customer Engagement Survey (CES).
  • Inter- departmental co-ordination.
  • Performance management as defined in the Sales Process.
  • Support Steering Manager and Sales Director with budgeting, planning and Strategy.
  • Responsible for DSO levels for the North Cluster as directed by BA and Sales Director.
  • Implement all findings and observations in annual Employee Engagement Survey (EES).
  • Review SXC portfolios and coverage of MR, CU and CN customers and ensure they have the right Segmented Vertical specialists for their market.
  • Give feedback on the market including rates, competition activities, market conditions etc to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Selectively engage in TM discussions on relevant matters (e.g., tender guidance and negotiations, special commodity market rates, etc.)
  • Coordination of Area sales activities with other Sales Managers and Sales Director.
  • Execute all tasks as directed by Sales Director / Management.
  • Support Sales Director and HRD with all matters related to Staff, Company policies and HL compliances.
  • Forecast weekly volume basis each SSY & update SST.

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Excellent track record
  • Good command of written and spoken English. Command over local language is preferred though not mandatory
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and BI tools
  • Positive attitude and Good Leadership skills
  • Receptive and be able to grasp new ideas
