Main Objectives of this position:

To provide support to ensure company’s business activities of the third party agencies are in accordance with the company’s business plan, to achieve the commercial operational and financial targets for HL’s business as agreed with the Area management. Run and execute the business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, HL’s policies and procedures, and relevant best practices.

Optimize the Sales result, responsible to monitor the performance and steer sales force accordingly. Analysing the corresponding reports, market behaviours which are part of the basis for the preparation of revenue management, forecasts, budget and marketing activities.

Lead the development and execution of ASE’s Inland transportation strategy. Responsible for inland success across target setting, performance management, opportunity management, tariff management and steering of Inland commercial activities.

Function and duties:

Responsibilities & Tasks:

·       Understand ASE Third Party (3PA) sales activities.

  • Ensure full compliance with all HL’s stated requirements
  • Evaluate opportunities for consolidation between the 3PA’s with the objective being to generate higher efficiencies and lower costs for HL
  • Work closely with 3PA in handling rate agreements, cargo space allocations requests and oversee this process for all ASE 3PA’s.
  • Ensuring achievement of 3PA sales target, reporting business activities through sales report.
  • Presenting realistic forecasts, budget planning and 3PA performance to management team.
  • Analyze budgets, determine ways to streamline and improve 3PA business activities.
  • Analyze 3PA current trends and set future business plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key operational Vendors, selective VIP Customers and relevant country Authorities and Organizations, to gain valuable insights, promote HL brand for more business support and market intelligence.
  • Prepare regular market updates to management and work out strategies to exploit opportunities.
  • Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all 3PA SOP requirements
  • Collaborate with our international team members and 3PA to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution.
  • Coordination on feeder/tender related matters, with regional procurement, QSC Operations and ASE stakeholders. Joining the monthly regional calls
  • Equipment and related matters: joining the fortnightly calls with region and coordination with areas and QSC ED.  Liaison with region on the quarterly TCV updates.
  • Local charges and Ancillaries: point of entry for ASE, including coordination of quarterly updates, ad-hoc reviews and performance tracking
  • Regular review of Transport Additionals (TAO/TAD).
  • Development of Inland strategy in terms of customer, vendors, corridors and MoTs
  • Definition of capacity sourcing strategy based on status quo analyses and market outlook
  • Definition of Area-specific Inland targets
  • Setup of Inland performance tracking
  • Identification of untapped Inland demand
  • Steering of Inland commercial team and sales activities
  • Development of Inland pricing strategy and management of Inland tariffs.
  • Develop & review Sales Process and ensure adherence for Southeast Asia.

Working relationships: ASE 3PA heads, ASE Management, QSC Management, Region Management ( where appropriate ) relevant HL HQ management

Key customers and suppliers as well all relevant Regulatory Bodies in 3PA countries.

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

·       University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Shipping / Logistics and/or Maritime.

Minimum Experience:

·       Minimum 5 years experiences in a container shipping line or similar international transport related service business and managing 3PA.
