The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Main Objectives of this position

Support the terminal procurement category manager in all terminal procurement activities. You will be responsible for all terminal procurement operations throughout the Asia Region, supporting country areas and monitoring terminal performance.

Function and duties

  • Serve as a supporting/leading role towards area offices in regard to ongoing procurement activities, applying lean methodologies and overall best-fit procurement practices
  • Act as an escalation point from a regional perspective internally towards suppliers
  • Seek for synergies with vendor relations and businesses on a cross-country regional perspective
  • Properly liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement guidelines and intended performance post-process are followed through; take the lead on supplier performance management
  • Perform supplier market assessments in liaison with our area offices in order to gain proper benchmarking opportunities and aid on overall vendor/competition health in a particular scope
  • Support the areas with the usage/guidance of eProcurement tools developments applicable to the procurement process
  • Aid on preparation relevant analytics for sourcing events and decision-making evaluations (i.e., past performance, cost exposure, variations, supplier rankings, ABC analysis, etc)
  • Serve as guidance for tender and negotiation analytics that facilitate decision making on a procurement process, both for working and management level
  • Assist and lead on potential technologic developments that would have an impact on bottom-line results
  • Establishment and/or improvement of service level agreements
  • Connect the overall bigger picture from a regional perspective, to be able to obtain tangible cost synergies and efficiency

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or with a Degree in Logistics and Supply chain.
  • With minimum experience of 5 years in the relevant field.
  • Knowledge of either procurement activities or shipping/maritime business.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • HH System:  FIS2, Compass, Qlikview, TRACO
