Main Objectives of this position
To maintain high level of equipment inventory management and status information.
Function and duties
Main Tasks
· Planning and Steering of Equipment
· Support mgr to arrange imbalance moves in timely manner
· Check / compare depot inventories and equipment requirements including pick up status
· Insert manual Equipment movements not received by EDI
· Insert Equipment movements and check / correct movements received by EDI
· Announcement / confirmation of export positioning depot and send release message to terminal/depot (communicated verbally and not assigned in FIS)
· Announcement / confirmation of import repositioning depot and send acceptance to terminal/depot (communicated via mail and not assigned in FIS)
· Arrange stock feeding / deadheading request by creating “MT” (empty) bookings
· Communicate with M&R regarding accessing repaired equipment
· Error handling, trouble shooting and communication to responsible parties
· Empty Shipment creation for Movements done a/c Hapag Lloyd, All India basis.
Support Tasks
· Verify accuracy of containers linked to shipments
· Liaison with Area/other location offices/depot personnel /ED to resolve M&R Issues.
Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements
Industry Knowledge
· 3-5 years industry experience in Shipping Industry Good knowledge of Shipping Operations
· Familiar with depot/CSF operations including reefer containers Sharp focus on cost management
· Vendor management experience preferred
Business Systems/IT
· Awareness of data quality importance
· Good knowledge of user application systems (SAP, FIS, MS Office, Word, Excel) Process knowledge & systems support optimization
· Ability to promptly process data and request under pressure Understanding of data quality benchmarking and management
