Reports to Senior Manager Network Execution
Overview:
Manager Feeder Execution role is key in optimizing vessel schedules, monitoring vendor performance and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. This position is responsible for maintaining schedule accuracy, coordinating schedule amendments, and providing valuable input for feeder network deployment in Region Middle East.
Responsibilities:
Vessel schedule Creation and Optimization
- Create & update coastal schedules.
- Ensure FIS is updated timely and accurately based on Long-Term Schedule (20+ weeks) and day-to-day schedule changes.
- Ensure feeder vessel are running on time according to schedule requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize feeder vessel schedule.
- Collaborate with Trade Management, Cargo Control and Transshipment team to optimize feeder network considering factors such as capacity, customer demands, and connection requirements.
- Modify feeder routing in line with dynamic business requirements.
- Review feeder network scope for insourcing & outsourcing with cost benefits.
Schedule Monitoring and Communication
- Montor feeder vessel ETA, providing regular updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate Mainline Schedule changes with feeder operators to enable positive cargo connections.
- Communicate with feeder operators on ITT requirement and priorities for cargo connection in transshipment ports.
- Communicate feeder schedule changes to internal teams and stakeholders to review cargo connection planning.
- Communicate feeder vessel deployment changes.
Feeder Vendor Management
- Assist Procurement team in creating SLA for feeder operators
- Montor feeder operators’ performance in line with agreed SLA
- Maintain vendor performance scorecard to rate feeder operators’ service.
- Communicate Mainline Schedule changes with feeder operators to enable positive cargo connections.
Qualifications:
- University Degree, Diploma in Marine Studies or a similar qualification
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in shipping operations and feeder operations / performance management
- Experience with vessel schedule creation and third party / feeder management is preferred.
- Previous knowledge/experience of Hapag-Lloyd systems/FIS is a plus
- Strategic and analytical thinking linked with strong stakeholder management.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills
