The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Main Objective

  • To ensure all safety aspects are properly managed, including all legal issues as per IMDG and Solas.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain close communication with QSC and Area offices in all DG matters.

  • Ensure IMDG, CFR49, Solas and in-house rules and regulations are adhered to/complied with.

  • Responsible for DG securities, inspection and procedures as per JWP

  • Monitor Areas DG POE to ensure compliance with DG procedures

  • Clarify all DG related questions within the team,

  • Handle special/ sensitive shipments

  • Respond to inquiries and assist with Cargo Patrol hits.

  • Prepare DG summaries with stowage requirements for planners, clarify stowage/ Segregation questions from vessels

  • Check DG stowage plans and take over responsibility for correctness

  • Perform weekend duty.

 Additional duties to be considered for Specialist level:

  • Provide guidance to Areas pertaining to DG issues on daily basis.

  • Support DG Workshop for RAS Areas.

Ad-hoc

  • Involvement in pilot projects whenever necessary

Requirements

  • Diploma in Marine Studies or at least 5 years’ experience in handling DG matters

  • Detailed knowledge of the IMDG Code, basic knowledge of related Regulations

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Strong level of communications
