The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the highest levels of quality towards the assigned Global NVO Accounts, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd

  • Drive Sales activities for the assigned Global NVO Accounts in Region Asia

  • Support the Implementation of customer and trade specific strategies based on the agreed annual targets with customers, Trade Management and Areas in alignment with the Account Manager

  • Focal point of commercial and strategic tradelane steering for the Global Account segment

  • Active business development & negotiations with external and internal stakeholders

  • Central Focal point of commercial and strategic tradelane steering for the Global NVO Accounts

  • Regional coordination of Tender inquiries and respective creation of rate quotations

  • Dispute & Process exception handling for selected customers

  • Creation & confirmation of FIS Rate Agreements

  • Creation of Customer Allocations and steering of volumes accordingly

  • Conduct Customer Performance review meetings on regular basis

  • Close cooperation with the Global NVO Account Manager, Area Organizations and Trade Managements on the execution of the overall Account strategy

  • Monitoring Account performance versus budget and take actions to ensure monthly targets are being achieved

  • Proactive guidance of the Segmented Vertical / Vertical Cluster in the Hapag-Lloyd Area organizations in terms of GNP Account strategy & performance (Push & Pull activities)

  • Pro-active contribution in developing, implementing and using new systems (Opportunity and Allocation Management, Salesforce etc.)

  • Conduct Market analysis and provide respective feedback on trade development, rates, competition activities, seasonalities etc. to all relevant stakeholders

Requirements

Experience

  • Liner Shipping experience, especially in Global & Key Account Management, Sales & Marketing roles

  • Proven Sales Execution ability and negotiation skills

Skills & Competencies

  • Outgoing and positive Sales mentality

  • Good communication and influencing skills with a proficiency in English is a must

  • Ability to work independently and take over responsibility without supervision

  • Structured, detailed and well organized working attitude

  • High level of self-motivation and self-organization. Being able to meet deadlines and provide high quality in work also under pressure

  • Analytical thinking and ability to identify market opportunities

  • Reliable and motivated team player

  • System skills (MS-office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
