Reports to Senior Director Business Administration & IT OPS

Overall Job Purpose: 

Assume responsibility for

·        Manage IT operations across the Middle East region, ensuring systems meet business needs and performed reliably.

·        To lead projects and initiatives that enhance users’ experience and apply project management methodology

·        Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency.

·        Lead and mentor Regional and Area IT coordinators, fostering teamwork and driving problem resolution to ensure seamless IT service delivery.

·        Lead the successful implementation of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and conduct BCM simulation tests within the set timeline, enhancing organizational resilience and preparedness.

·        Plan and execute the IT infrastructure setup for new offices across the Region.

·        Drive performance improvement by monitoring user tickets and dashboards to identify trends and provide insights on how to enhance end users’ efficiency through trainings and upskilling campaigns 

·        Develop and communicate IT policies and SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance across locations.

·        Ensure adherence to Hapag-Lloyd’s policies and procedures

·        Support global hardware and software rollouts, as well as projects initiated by Hamburg Central IT and local offices.

·        Lead the ITCs communication initiative & act as focal point of contact for the ITCs in the region

·        Manage escalations on IT issues

·        Resolve high level IT issues; liaise with Hamburg T.O.M to address serious issues

·        Identify EDI integration opportunities for customers and implement tailored solutions that streamline data exchange, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

·        Assets’ Inventory Control for the Region

·        Develop effective communication outlets/campaigns on all IT related matters targeting end users and other IT coordinators

·        Develop the community of local IT Coordinators by effective communication and allocated trainings  

Qualifications:

  • ·        University Degree, Computer Science/Engineering and/or IT management experience over 5 years
  • ·        PMP Certified or equivalent
  • ·        Business/Data Analysis & Automation/AI experience is a big plus
  • ·        Minimum 5 years of experience in providing IT Infrastructure support in a large MNC
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Technical Skills:

  • ·        Project Management skill
  • ·        Good IT Infrastructure knowledge
  • ·        Up-to-date knowledge of network, hardware, software and systems
  • ·        Experience overseeing, supporting and maintaining corporate computer networks, systems, applications and IT peripherals
  • ·        Good technical knowledge of mobile applications and devices
  • ·        Ability to operate and maintain tools, components and peripheral accessories
