Reports to Director / Sr. Manager Controlling

Overview:

The Business Intelligence & Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s financial and strategic objectives by designing and maintaining advanced dashboards, automating processes, and delivering insightful financial analysis. This role will also involve driving key strategic initiatives, including the migration from QlikView to Qlik Sense and supporting business-wide strategic decision-making through predictive analysis and financial modeling.

Responsibilities:

·         Financial Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze and report financial data in a timely and accurate manner to enable management to make sound and informed business decisions.

Leverage Time Series Analysis, Trend Analysis, and Predictive Analytics to maximize profitability and ensure precision in month-end closing processes.

Develop and maintain ad hoc reports to address evolving business needs and management inquiries. 

·         Dashboard Development & Migration:

Drive the migration process of existing dashboards from QlikView to Qlik Sense, ensuring enhanced functionality and user experience.

Design, develop, and maintain advanced Qlik Sense dashboards to automate the Planning and Accrual processes, aligning with the organization’s financial goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet reporting and business intelligence requirements.

·         Strategic Support:

Assist with setting the strategic direction for controlling functions.

Contribute to business-wide strategies by providing actionable insights derived from data analysis and reporting.

Partner with senior leadership to align financial planning and reporting with organizational goals. 

·         Operational Cost & Process Optimization:

Support operational cost analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for cost-saving opportunities.

Assist with cost accrual processes to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and operational transparency.

Develop tools to monitor rebates and accrual balances, improving oversight of financial commitments and obligations.

Automate repetitive processes to enhance efficiency across all controlling functions and reduce manual errors.

·         Predictive & Advanced Analytics:

Use predictive modeling and data visualization to forecast financial performance and guide decision-making processes.

Apply trend and time series analyses to identify financial risks and opportunities, enabling proactive decision-making.

·         Collaboration & Process Improvement:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that enhance financial reporting and analytics capabilities.

Provide training and guidance to team members on new systems, tools, and analytics techniques.

 

Qualifications:

·     Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science (Master’s degree & Financial, Accounting knowledge, a plus)

·         Certification in Qlik View/Qlik Sense, sound knowledge of SQL, AWS & Python 

Experience:

·         4+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.

·         Extensive hands-on experience with Qlik Sense and QlikView, particularly in dashboard development and migrations.

·         Proven track record in predictive modeling, trend analysis, and time series analysis.

·         Experience in process automation and tool development is highly desirable. 

Skills:

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.

·         Expertise in Qlik Sense, QlikView, and other data visualization tools.

·         Advanced proficiency in Excel, including macros; experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.

·         Deep understanding of financial reporting, planning, and cost accrual processes.

·         Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
