The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Main Objectives of the position:

Deliver the highest levels of quality to all internal stakeholders, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd.

Function & duties:

 

  • Shipment request management / Handle voyage space request for shipment on waiting list 
  • Handle voyage allocation utilization 
  • Handle customer and bundled allocation utilization 
  • Advise shipment handling in overbooking situation 
  • Request for CA 
  • Plan annual budget volumes and revenues 
  • Provide monthly trend volumes 
  • Provide weekly volume forecast  
  • Prepare for and participate in APM Calls. 
  • Review and analyze lost business.
  • Customer Performance Tracking.  
  • Equipment forecasting.
  • Conduct weekly meetings to align with the Area sales.
  • Analysis of opportunities updated in CRM and providing guidance to sales management on optimal opportunities to pursue.
  • Collect information related to market trends, competitor services/product changes, potential customers etc.
  • Liaise with TM on revenue and routing optimization (e.g. GRI opportunities, market feedback, routing proposals).
  • Analize and optimize - market segmentations (Long Term Business vs Short Term Business) / Cargo mix / EQ.
  • D & D analysis, free time review for management and free time approvals where applicable.
  • Optimization of local ancillary charges for revenue optimization such as DOC fee, cancellation fee, re-booking fee etc.
  • PRIA report clean up (Negative CL2 and ICL).
  • Review routing proposals for possible adjustments.

Qualification and Technical Job Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent.  
  • Very good command of written and spoken English. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office. 
  • Able to work well with others and follow guidelines. 
  • Positive attitude.
  • Receptive and be able to grasp new ideas and motivate oneself for personal development. 

Success Criteria for Position:

  • Knows Budgeting and Forecasting processes from a Sales perspective. 
  • Good in basic Analytics (Excel / PowerPoint / QlikView / Web focus).
  • Strong network with internal stake holders.
  • Good in challenging the status quo and bring new improvements in the existing processes.
