Reports to Director Global Account Management

Overall Job Purpose:

Develop and strength the commercial relationship between Global NVOs (GNPs) and Hapag-Lloyd. Be the focal point for any GNP subject matter in Region Middle East. Manage and engage stakeholders across the globe to deliver high quality service to the Global NVOs. Steer the GNP portfolio towards sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Accountabilities:

• Strategize on the development and enhancement of Global Accounts, e.g. prepare sales specific strategies, improve contribution margins, grow volumes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with global accounts and related stakeholders
• Negotiate with customers and trade management to secure new businesses and increase existing ones
• Provide feedback on the market including rates, competition activities, market conditions etc. to all relevant stakeholders
• Conduct customer and Area meetings/visits (Preparation, Execution, Follow-up and Documentation)
• Self-driven in presenting and selling HL products, services and tariffs
• Pro-active contribution in developing, implementing and using new systems (Opportunity and Allocation Management, Salesforce etc.)
• Monitors actual performance against budgeted volumes; identifies budget variances and develops plans in conjunction with management to eliminate negative variances
• Manages the contract administration/Freight Information System (FIS) Rate Agreement process
• Act as POE in commercial escalations and facilitate problem resolution
• Guides, coaches and supports the Global Accounts department across the Region
• Review current processes in place and suggest ways to improve the status quo
• Engage in projects
• Makes certain that all departmental and functional training requirements are fulfilled
• Ensures consistent application of Hapag-Lloyd policies to all personnel actions.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent in English

• Knowledge of Hapag-Lloyd systems including FIS, CRM, Web-focus, Qlikview, and QlikSense.
• Knowledge of the shipping industry
