THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with expertise in React.js for front-end development and Java microservices for backend systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of features to UI framework that serves as the backbone of Hapag Lloyd’s ERP system, contributing to both architectural decisions and hands-on coding. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring high-quality software delivery while mentoring junior developers and collaborating across teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the end-to-end implementation of the features.
  • Create and maintain reusable components and libraries.
  • Come up with innovative ideas that aligns with the team and organizational goals.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • You continually improve processes and practices, do regular retrospectives and identify areas for improvement.
  • You take ownership for your personal learning and development journey.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new tools and technologies independently.

 

Technical

  • Strong knowledge in Java, JPA
  • Expertise in Java microservices architecture (Spring Boot / Microprofile EE)
  • Swagger/OpenAPI, RESTful
  • React JS, Redux, Typescript
  • Junit, JEST
  • Git (Gitlab), CI/CD (Jenkins)

Personal

  • Require 5 - 8 years of relevant technology experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in design and development of software, experience with large multinational organisations is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive cost reduction, automation, and improvements in process efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.
  • High Energy, able to motivate, collaborate and to generate followership.
