About the Position

We are a powerful IT organization with eyes on the future trends of the shipping industry. Our Fleet IT team continuously develops and operates the IT platforms and systems supporting vessel and network operations. This ranges from on-board IT and communications systems to global stowage planning and monitoring of cargo operations. With our IT systems, we help reduce CO2 emissions by continuously optimizing our fleet and cargo operations.

 

For our offices in Chennai we are looking for a Full Stack Developer (ReactNative & ReactJS) who works in our CargoMate Product Team.

The CargoMate Product Team is part of our global Fleet IT team and responsible for operations and further development of Hapag-Lloyd’s CargoMate software. CargoMate provides a port call optimization system for container ships. It monitors cargo operations directly from vessels, giving shore-based teams access to live forecasting of cargo completion times. It helps to keep vessels on schedule and to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in ports. The solution entails mobile and web front-ends, a backend and integration with other software solutions.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

As a member of the CargoMate product team,

·        You operate and continuously develop the CargoMate product in line with business needs.

·        You implement new features and solutions according to the product roadmap.

·        You resolve technical issues that may arise.

·        You engage with Business and IT teams around the globe.

·        You work with stakeholders to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.

·        You continually improve processes and practices, do regular retrospectives and identify areas for improvement.

·        You are part of the CargoMate product team and you manage and prioritize your tasks and workload in alignment with the responsible team lead.You take ownership for your personal learning and development journey.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience: 5 – 7 years

Skill Sets

·        React Native, ReactJS, TypeScript, Kotlin

·        Redux, React Native Offline, RESTful API, GraphQL

·        Jest, Appium

·        AppStore, Google Play

·        MDM: HexNode, InTunes

·        Git (Github/Gitlab), CI/CD (Jenkins / CircleCI).

 

Further requirements

·        Strong problem-solving and excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

·        Excellent communication skills and work experience in a globally operating business

·        Team player attitude, fostering collaboration between internal IT teams, external stakeholders and business teams, as well as ability to work in a global team

·        Proactive mindset and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Professional experience in the maritime industry is a plus
