Main Objectives of this position:

QSC Cargo Operation has an overall responsibility of Cargo Operations for the area assigned to him.

1.     Functions and Duties:

General Tasks and Responsibilities

 

1.     To ensure tasks completion as per agreed SLA with Areas / Region.

a.     Arrange Load/Discharge (TBU / CBF)

i.       Check and trace pending container

ii.      Check customs status

iii.     Check DG documentation and acceptance

iv.    Check import discrepancies before vessel arrival

v.     Create and evaluate no move status for container

vi.    Create and provide TBU

vii.   Handle COD

viii.  Handle late runner

ix.    Update missing PT DG container numbers in FIS

x.     Insert container no. and stowage position for DG

xi.    Maintain terminal dates

xii.   Coordinate for OOG handing and update of E-forms as per HL guidelines

xiii.  Check on Cargo patrol / DG hold containers.

b.     Distribute Load/Discharge Information

i.       Provide DG manifest

ii.      Provide load/discharge information

iii.     Provide reefer manifest

c.     Finalize Load/Discharge

i.       Check & create port/terminal WO for payment

ii.      Create additional terminal WO

iii.     Create and provide manual TDR

iv.    Create and submit main terminal WO

v.     Define free WO

vi.    Creation port WO

vii.   Perform ICCL checks

viii.  Validate actual versus planned load/discharge information

d.     Handle Vessel Call

i.       Maintain round voyage (actuals)

ii.      Obtain VIA / Rotation number from Terminal and Customs

 

 

 

 

e.     Organize ad hoc Special Handlings

i.       Apply new seal

ii.      Handle reefer temperature deviations

iii.     Resolve DG placard issues

iv.    Handling damages (vessel / containers)

v.     Handling re-exports, cross stuffing and long standing and ensure timely movement / return of units

vi.    Keeping track of Import evacuation of container from terminals and ensure all movement completed with terminal free period

vii.   Placing fund requests for terminals

viii.  Ensure vessel handing as prevailing rules of Port authority, Terminals, Marine Department, Customs etc.

f.      Handle Terminal Invoice / VIM (Vendor Invoice Management)

g.     Create TREX for all Customer recovery for all Additional operational expenses.

h.     Coordinate with partners and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely load and discharge information exchange

i.       Monitor and approve late gate requests, ensuring compliance with established protocols

j.       Maintain accurate records of containers not in the terminal, missing documentation, and containers that did not materialize (shortfall).

k.     Generate and share reports, including break bulk (BB) information, dangerous cargo manifests, empty container details, and tank container information.

l.       Collaborate with teams to reconcile planned versus actual load/discharge information and identify discrepancies

m.    Maintain and update deadlines and cut-offs in FIS/Workflow tool, ensuring adherence to schedules

n.     Any additional or Adhoc task not specified above which relates to Cargo Operations

1.     Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:

 

Industry Knowledge

·       5+ years industry and management experience in transportation industry

·       Overall expert knowledge of Cargo Operations

·       Experience in import general manifest (customs)

Business Systems/ IT

 

                Expert knowledge of user application systems (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

                Understanding of data quality benchmarking and KPI management.
