The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Main Objectives of this position:

Act Acts as bridge function between Area Sales and Operations with the aim to increase profitable Inland volume and optimize Inland product portfolio.

Function and duties:

·        Evaluate customer potential and conduct Inland Sales Planning

·        Continuously improve the customer portfolio by securing new Inland business with untapped Inland customers, not currently tackled as part of the Ocean Sales

·        Cooperate with your Ocean Sales counterpart to ensure that all Inland potential of existing accounts is exhausted

·         Support Account Managers in their Inland sales activities for their existing accounts with your (technical) expertise

·        Review customer performance with respective supervisor and define appropriate actions

·        Prepare and conduct visits, report and follow-up on visits via Salesforce

·        Drive Inland business for foreign customers wherever possible and engage in push-pull activities

·        Selectively engage in tender management discussions where relevant (e.g., tender guidance and negotiations, special commodity market rates, etc.)

·        Provide customer feedback on Inland offering to all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure competitive pricing as well as required product coverage.

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:

Must have:

·        Very good communication skills in English

·        At least +4 years of work experience.

·        Customer Oriented

·        Experienced with Inland product and all related Trucking requirements.

·        Deep understanding on the full transport cycle including ocean & logistics.

·        Previous experience in selling Inland products and bundle solutions.

·        Proactive manner and distinctive goal orientation

·        Good Negotiation skills and efficient way of working

·        Ability to work in a team

·        Analytical and creative thinking skills

 

Nice to have:

·        Preferably experienced with the Local market.

·        Preferably further languages (esp. local language)

Success Criteria for Position:

·        Knows Inland-related processes from a Sales and/or Ops. Perspective

·        Good in basic Analytics (Excel / PowerPoint)

·        Strong local network.
