IT Demand Management Practice owner

Responsibilities:

  • IT Demand Management:
    • Develop and implement a standardized IT demand management process for all software requests, ensuring clear communication, prioritization, and resource allocation, covering entire software lifecycle.
    • Steer and support the execution of the process
    • Work with stakeholders across departments to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable IT requests.
    • Evaluate feasibility, cost, and potential risks associated with IT requests.
    • Prioritize requests based on business criticality, alignment with IT strategy, and resource availability.
    • Communicate request status and decisions to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
  • SaaS Governance:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive SaaS governance framework that includes policies, procedures, and controls for the selection, deployment, management, and renewal of SaaS solutions.
    • Work with procurement and legal teams to establish standardized contract terms and negotiation strategies for SaaS vendors.
    • Conduct due diligence evaluations of potential SaaS solutions, considering security, compliance, scalability, and integration capabilities.
    • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all SaaS solutions used within Hapag-Lloyd. Liase with CMDB or Asset Management team for keeping a centralized SaaS repository.
    • Monitor and optimize SaaS usage patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings or improved efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIST, SOC2, KRITIS, IMO 2021) when using SaaS solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Develop strong working relationships with IT teams, business departments, procurement, legal, and security teams.
    • Effectively communicate IT demand management and SaaS governance policies and procedures to all stakeholders.
    • Proactively identify and address potential challenges and roadblocks related to IT demand and SaaS adoption.
    • Continuously monitor and improve IT demand management and SaaS governance processes based on data and feedback.
    • Carries out ad hoc tasks relevant for the assigned functional domain

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT service management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT demand management processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
