1. Main Objectives of this position:
Lead and develop GL & Quality Audit sub-functions within BA
2. Function and duties:
Areas of responsibility
For all entities within Area MIN/MAG/MSA & QSC
GL
· Manage GL sub-function for all entities under control to ensure suitable monitoring mechanism for all tasks as per SOPs
· Enhance organizational efficiency through processes and systems usage. Facilitate continual improvement in accounting processes to bring out efficiencies within teams and to lead to overall maturity of the sub-function
· Ensure necessary controls/ control environment are in place as well as monitoring thereof for smooth functioning of all accounting processes
· Provide assurance on monthly reporting to RME for financials and explanations thereon
· Support management in strategic decision-making by sharing suitable analysis and information
· Manage budgeting and forecasting process
· Participate in projects and management initiatives for strategic development
· Provide support to Managers and Supervisors within QSC GL & Quality audit
· Controlling Treasury function & managing cash flow
· 10 Reviewing the BA-Quality function & BA process improvement
Compliances
· 1.Manage compliances under Companies Act, LLP act, Income tax act and related legislations for Mumbai QSC
· 2.Review of admin vendor agreements in support with admin team
Team management
· Select, train, develop and motivate the team to ensure best-in-class performance
· Create plan for back-ups, succession within the team
· Ensure suitable process in place to track and measure performance of the team(s) and individuals
Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:
· Minimum professional qualification in accounting with good academic track record
· Good understanding of accounting standards, especially IFRS
· Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably in shipping industry
· Proven experienced in team management
· Exposure to ERP environment, preference shall be given to persons with minimum 2 years of experience in SAP
