The Data Excellence Network, Equipment and Fleet team as part of the Data Insights & AI department designs and builds analytics solutions to provide insightful answers to our colleagues worldwide. We work in small, cross-functional teams jointly with specialists across the business. You share an office with a diverse team of likeminded Data Scientists, Visualization Experts, Data Warehouse Developers and colleagues with in-depth knowledge about our business.

Your responsibilities:

  • As part of our team, implement the right datasets that empower the business to make a difference
  • Build and maintain our data warehouse design and architecture
  • Implement our new data warehouse in greenfield approach on our data platform Databricks
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain high-end data pipelines and datasets that streamline our operations and drive efficiency
  • Hands-on work with our Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Visualization Experts to ensure that we solve the right challenges and transform data in the right places with the right technology
  • Jointly with your colleagues further innovate and strengthen our data engineering practices around testing, monitoring, performance optimization
  • Participate in international project groups

Your profile:

  • Passion for Global Logistics: You are excited about applying your technical and analytical skills to the dynamic world of international trade
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Technical Expertise: SQL proficiency and proven experience in data warehouse architecture and modeling principles (such as KIMBALL, data vault, or star and snowflake schemas), database management, or a similar role
  • Bonus Skills: Experience with Databricks or Snowflake, as well as in Spark, Python, or other programming languages and frameworks relevant to data modeling and transformation is a plus
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team Player: Comfortable working in international and interdisciplinary (project) teams
  • Fluent in English: Communication is key in our global operations
