Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Within the Global Procurement Dpt. of Hapag-Lloyd your main task is the support of the Senior Contract Manager with contract administration tasks, analysis of spend and KPI´s in relation to procurement contracts and the development of the procurement contract landscape within Hapag-Lloyd´s Terminal & Infrastructure segment
  • The contract management function is vested within the Global Procurement dpt. and contains alignment tasks between legal and commercial functions; thus legal tasks will be combined with administrative, analytical and commercial tasks
  • You will participate in the development of a contract management(e-procurement) tool which is currently rolled out within the group company
  • Your tasks may entail the work with contract AI tools, mapping of contracts, the preparation of category specific contract templates and interaction with procurement managers in order to enable them to work with and negotiate contracts across the globe
  • You will further analyze contract related spend, build dashboards and participate in savings evaluations via contract management tools and support the overall digitization and automation of contract negotiations

Your Qualifications

  • You are currently completing a full-time degree in (business) law, economics, logistics or similar studies
  • You also have strong social skills and very good communication skills in English (spoken and written) as the role is highly international
  • Previous knowledge from international organizations and contract related experience is desirable but not required
  • Basic legal know-how and contract analysis experience plus comprehension of global procurement requirements are likewise desirable
  • Solid Excel and office applications skills are a must (QlikSense & Coupa proc. tools would be a great add on)
  • Self-initiative and commitment, as well as a very independent work organization come natural by you
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial relevant practical experience, e.g. through internships or working student positions.

Good to know

  • You start with us as soon as possible and work approx. 20 hours per week 
  • During the semester break you can increase your hours up to 38 hours 
  • We are currently planning your assignment for 6 months with the option of an extension and will, of course, also take your course of studies into account
