Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Preparation and definition of Area budgets, trends and forecasts in close coordination with Area management
  • Coordination and preparation of the weekly volume forecast for Area Germany & Central Europe
  • Preparation of analyses, projections and reports for the sales teams as well as sales and Area management
  • Coordination and communication with Trade Management to optimize allocation management for Area Germany & Central Europe
  • Managing and optimizing the utilization of all services / products
  • Monitoring and control of sales performance, as well as optimization of the customer and cargo mix, also with regard to contribution margins, in cooperation with Sales Management
  • Controlling opportunity management in Sales Force (CRM customer database)
  • Sales performance analysis by trades / products & services (Area / office level)
  • Development and control of the sales process (visits / calls / account planning / customer feedback)
  • Creation of presentations for KPI meetings, performance calls and coaching sessions

Your Qualifications

  • You are currently studying full-time in a shipping-related course of study, business administration, transport economics or a comparable course of study
  • Ideally, you already have practical experience in the shipping, logistics or freight forwarding industry - but this is not a prerequisite
  • You also have strong social skills and very good communication skills in English (spoken and written
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Self-initiative and commitment, as well as a very independent work organization are a matter of course for you

Good to know

  • You start with us as soon as possible and work approx. 20 hours per week 
  • During the semester break you can increase your hours up to 38 hours
