Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage IT activities, including first-level support for networking, servers, clients, printing, and backup; IP telephony, contact centre and video conferencing; user authorisation.
  • Manage local communication contracts, mobile phones & office consumables.
  • Support the Senior Management team relative to IT activities.
  • Support corporate IT with local planning and implementation of system and hardware upgrades.
  • Maintain an active role in day-to-day IT operations.
  • Monitor hardware usage and analyse user requirements to ensure maximum utilisation of hardware.
  • Ensure that IT regular audits take place, and that the IT asset database is kept up to date.
  • Ensure seamless local IT operational reliability.
  • Manage buildings maintenance activities in the Barking head office, including HVAC, water system, lifts, utilities, grounds maintenance, lighting, electrical and plumbing.
  • Manage reception, switchboard, and security.
  • Oversee office facilities including cleaning, catering, plants, and furniture.
  • Ensure all scheduled testing is carried out at the appropriate time.
  • Organise office moves, refurbishments and layout changes.
  • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the building and/or IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in preparation of IT and facilities capital investment and cost budgets.
  • Authorise supplier invoices and monitor same against budgets.
  • Ensure the company complies with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Ensure that UK offices, staff and activities are fulfilling the quality and environmental aims of the company’s Sustainability Policy.
  • Manage a small team of IT and facilities coordinators.
