Responsibilities and tasks:

As the Custodians of Process Excellence, your primary role will be to drive value creation across our global process landscape, enhancing productivity and overall efficiency within Hapag-Lloyd. Driving Process Excellence is our central objective. We are the navigators and setting the railguards for the organization, acting as transformation partners alongside Process Owners, and having a vital role in achieving the set strategic goals.

 We are seeking a dynamic and experienced process improvement expert to drive our global process excellence initiative and contribute to our success:

  • Being part of the Global Process Excellence team with a strong process excellence focus and result-driven mindset
  • Drive innovative process improvement initiatives, collaborating closely with stakeholders on a global level
  • Drive a solution-oriented and agile working methodology to deliver tangible benefits for the organization, ensuring a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and proactive problem-solving within the team
  • Open communication within the team and across departments, promoting collaboration and a continuous improvement mindset in assigned process improvement initiatives
  • Optimize process performance and productivity to deliver a positive customer experience
  • Guide and empower process owners in optimizing efficiencies and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Utilize data-driven methods for process analytics, leveraging your strong analytical skills to derive actionable insights for process optimization
  • Conduct data-driven analysis of end-to-end business processes, utilizing methodologies like Process Mining and Lean Six Sigma to identify and address bottlenecks effectively
  • Uphold standardization measures and oversee automation and centralization initiatives

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in continuous process improvement and Business Process Management with a result-driven mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives
  • Excellent analytical skills using data-driven methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, quick learning ability
  • Solid understanding of Process Mining technology to drive process improvement beneficial
  • Automation mindset to promote process improvement through technical levers, e.g. RPAs, ODM
  • Ability to conduct process improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholder and senior management
  • Strong communication skills to foster collaboration while working with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Independent and target-oriented work style with a high level of commitment
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, maritime business, or business process related studies beneficial
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, additional languages are beneficial
