Position Summary:

 

        Develop Inland product using different modes of transport for the countries in the

          Area including the landlocked countries.

        Achieve the Inland Targets for the Area / country in terms of volume and profitability.

        Map the market in terms of available vendors and capacities

        Ensure the product remains competitive from the price and terms perspective for the sales to be able to                     sell.

           Provide tailor made solutions for certain clients.

 

Key Functions and Accountabilities:

 

              Gather feedback on the Market (from other Area inland functions) including potential transport solutions for different modes and include product needs in final product offering.

              Identify inland value propositions and support sales with tangible product information.

              Act as main PoC for the Account Managers on product-related Inland questions.

              Drive the identification and development of relevant Inland products and define the Inland network strategy by conducting required analysis on underserved/overserved locations, equipment levels etc.

              Own the capacity demand forecasting reports produced by BIA and engage in active management of capacity availability and utilization.

              Analyze and decide on fixed capacity requirements based on operations and commercial data.

              Support procurement on vendor negotiations and SLA definition to continuously improve and extend the      vendor base.

Plan and manage strategic vendor relationships in cooperation with Procurement, in order to increase    quality and stickiness of relations.

Technical Competencies:

 

       Existing experience or knowledge about the market for trucking & rail products would be preferred.

       Market network & knowledge for the countries in the Area would be an added advantage.

       University degree or equivalent experience of 7-10 years in logistics or supply chain

       Very good command of written and spoken local language and English.

       Advanced working knowledge of MS Office tools

       Able to work well with others and follow guidelines. Hands on mentality to approach existing and new customers.

       Customer oriented attitude with willingness to set limits.

       Receptive and be able to grasp new ideas.

       Capable to work under pressure.

       Result driven team player with proactive attitude.

       Always able to compute the risk & liabilities involved to ensure we always live on company values.

              Fluent in local language and English

              Salesforce Knowledge (preferable)
