In the Liner Shipping segment, the Company has around 13,500 employees and 400 offices in 135 countries. Hapag-Lloyd has a container capacity of 2.9 million TEU – including one of the largest and most modern fleets of reefer containers. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2,600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment handle terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with our management at Hapag-Lloyd and assume an important role in the digital transformation of our finance and controlling processes
  • In your daily business you are responsible for project management in financial analytics, lead projects and develop innovative solutions in a dynamic and truly global market environment
  • As a member of an international and interdisciplinary team, you will dive deep into our global processes to discover optimization potentials
  • You also plan, prepare, moderate and document project review meetings and get the chance to implement your own ideas on how to improve project tracking
  • In addition, you monitor, document and present the status and success of our projects and process optimization initiatives

Your Qualifications

  • You are matriculated in a fulltime course of study and already in your 3rd semester
  • You are eager on development and implementation of new concepts
  • You are confident in using MS Office and ideally other tools
  • You have first practical experience in (agile) project management, for example from organizing extracurricular activities or prior work experience
  • You enjoy working with different stakeholders - different functions, levels, cultures
  • You have a basic understanding of finance and controlling
  • You have a high affinity for numbers paired with excellent analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset
  • You have a quick comprehension and a structured approach to complex problems

Good to know

Working student: 

  • You start with us as soon as possible and work approx. 20 hours per week
  • During the semester break you can increase your hours up to 38 hours

Intern:

  • You start with us as soon as possible and work 38 hours per week

We are currently planning your assignment for 6 months with the option of an extension and will, of course, also take your course of studies into account
