Your responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Financial Analytics team within the Global Controlling department. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and driving key projects and presenting them to Hapag-Lloyd top management. The successful candidate will be in charge of managing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting.

  • Work directly with top management at Hapag-Lloyd and assume an important role in the finance and controlling digital transformation
  • Responsible for leading projects in controlling and develop innovative solutions in a dynamic and truly global market environment
  • Responsible for achieving project goals and results in terms of scope, deadlines, quality and commercials
  • Monitor, document and present the development status up to executive board level, addressing issues and risks proactively and escalating issues as needed
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional and international project teams involving external service providers to ensure project objectives align with business goals
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent working environment between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership and act as a liaison between business and IT
  • Take responsibility for excellence, i.e. visionary and operational further development and optimization of structures and processes in controlling and methods and standards in project management

Your profile

  • Completed studies and proven experience in controlling and managing complex projects, ideally in a leading consultancy or software firm
  • Confident handling of established project management methods and tools, preferably with certification (PMI, Scrum, Prince2); experience with agile methods
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Convincing demeanor and experience in dealing with project staff and decision-makers up to board level
  • Experience in story lining and visualizing board level presentations
  • Quick comprehension, a structured approach to complex problems and pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working
  • Affinity for numbers, data and IT paired with excellent analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset
  • Experience in finance and controlling in an IT application context is a plus
