Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Advise procurement functions globally as main point of contact for contract reviews and negotiations
  • Provide governance for procurement contract management and improve Hapag-Lloyd’s contract lifecycle management on a continuous basis
  • Draft procurement contracts considering all relevant requirements (e.g., economic, commercial, technological, legal, risk management) jointly with other relevant departments
  • Set standard templates for category specific contracts and ensure guidance to regional procurement functions
  • Train procurement teams in contract analysis, contract drafting, contract development and contract negotiation
  • Use advanced analytics to create transparency on existing contracts, incl. coverage rate, SLAs, volume, tenure and other relevant criteria

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • University degree (also applied university) with a specialization in contract management or international business law, alternatively, a comparable education or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience as Contract Manager with similar responsibilities
  • Comfortable and competent in a project setup, experienced in project management
  • Experience in the world of procurement is a plus, ideally in the areas of logistics and shipping
  • Full professional oral and written proficiency in English and German, specifically in legal content
  • Result-oriented, team spirit with an independent working style, positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
