Position Summary:

Responsible for developing existing and securing new business from a portfolio of small to mid-sized customers through voice and digital channels.  Develop alternative solutions and plans to solve problems. Ensure the highest level of quality when interacting with our customers, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as Hapag-Lloyd.

Key Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Portfolio management: volume and revenue growth, opportunity and strategy development/execution.
  •          Collaboration with internal teams and departments
  •          Handle incoming Sales related customer requests (phone and/or email) and proactive follow-up.
  •          Promote usage of self-service tools & digital products of Hapag-Lloyd to our customers.
  •          Handle quotation requests from customers - when of interest of Hapag-Lloyd and not covered by digital solutions. 
  •          Handle customer requests in an standardized way according to terms & conditions.
  •          Gather and share market information collected during customer interaction.
  •          CRM call reporting and account information updates.
  •       Ensures consistent application of Hapag-Lloyd policies.
  •       Additional ad-hoc duties as required.
Skills and knowledge required:
  • Previous experience in B2B Sales (Maritime or Logistics Industry would be an asset)
  • University/College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English (French as second language would be an asset)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Able to work well with others and follow guidelines.
  • Ability handle customer requests efficiently & professionally
  • Strong negotiator and active listener
  • Receptive and able to grasp new ideas
  • Effective time-management
  • Results focused
  • Ability to identify priorities and opportunities in a dynamic environment
