Responsibilities and Tasks:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner to join our team. As the Product Owner for API Portal within the Partner Productivity Product in the Technical Foundation Cluster, you will play a key role in shaping the roadmap of your product and driving innovation in FIS3. Your responsibilities include the realization of customer-facing APIs by the API Portal with strong alignment with API Producers and stakeholders within our organization. Next to your roles as a product owner, you will be driving automation initiatives within the organization, foster replication potentials and track and follow-up progress of automation tools.

 

  • Lead and develop long-term vision, creating a user-centric window for APIs, both frontend and backend, Public and Partner APIs
  • Collaborate across teams for new API Product development to provide high quality delivery
  • Create and manage the backlog of tasks and features, considering input from various stakeholders and business units including API-related legal term with counterparts
  • Innovate API Portal features with Product Manager, considering commercial, technical, and legal factors
  • Drive API development by partnering with API Producers, enabling smooth onboarding on the Portal
  • Offer internal support on API Portal usage, integration, governance processes, and external platform meetings
  • Creating, maintaining and reviewing API-related documentation for external use, including API Explorer and product-specific documentation
  • Identify content and technical dependencies for successful customer solution realization
  • Enhance UX and functionalities in line with Customer and internal technical requirements.
  • Oversee documentation quality for Public and Partner APIs with internal API producers
  • Promote API awareness within the organization, jointly alongside internal counterparts
  • Drive proactive product roadmap and track metrics and success factors
  • Communicate product vision, goals, and risks to stakeholders and the development team
  • Using Agile methodologies and participate in relevant planning and meetings, taking shared responsibility with product manager for the daily running and results of the product team
  • Foster the adoption and utilization of automation tools within our organization though awareness campaigns and a driving role, support in knowledge sharing of best practices and guiding on sources of training material
  • Develop objectives, timelines, and milestones for automation projects and replication initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to define clear targets, next steps and visible outcomes

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Product Owner experience, preferably in APIs or integrations
  • Proven success in API Enablement, technical product launch or digital product scaling within API set-ups
  • Experience with API management tools and platforms (e.g. IBM API Connect, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Results-driven and customer-centric work approach
  • Familiarity with agile practices, emphasizing open communication and teamwork.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to implement new concepts within technical frameworks
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages are advantageous
