Are you an experienced and result-orientated Sales professional, with a strong background in Land transport and freight forwarding sales? Your responsibilities: 

  1. Sales and Customer Acquisition:
    • Identify potential customers within the assigned inland region.
    • Create compelling customer value propositions.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and competition.
    • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of opportunities.
    • Contact and engage with prospective customers through various communication channels.
    • Present and demonstrate the company's products or services to potential clients.
    • Negotiate and close sales deals, achieving or exceeding sales targets. 
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a professional and timely manner.
    • Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Keep customers informed about new product features, promotions, or updates.
    • Focus on controlled and non-controlled Exports and Import accounts.
  1. Market and Competitor Analysis:
    • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
    • Gather feedback from customers to improve the company's products or services.
    • Report market insights to the sales manager or relevant teams.
  1. Sales Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, reports, and documentation.
    • Provide regular sales reports to the sales manager or higher management.
    • Utilize CRM software or tools to manage customer information and sales data.

Successful criteria for this position: 

  • Successfully completed commercial training or comparable studies in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Sales, Engineering, Logistics or similar
  • Proven experience in sales or a similar role, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in freight forwarding/transport or logistics ideally in sales.
  • Excellent understanding of Inland transport, as well as ocean shipping markets.
  • Deep understanding of product management responsibilities, preferably in logistics.
  • Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with high level of initiative, ability to work in a team and assertiveness.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Have the ability to work and coordinate with other Sales colleagues for market penetration into new segments and customer base.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools (Salesforce advantageous).
  • Valid driver's license.
