Job Description

Hapag-Lloyd Technology Center is looking for a Java Senior Software Engineer to join our IT team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications and systems. The ideal candidate should have professional experience in Java and related technologies.

  • Develop and maintain software applications and systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Design and implement software solutions.
  • Test and debug software applications.
  • Ensure software applications are up-to-date and secure.
  • Provide technical support and training to users.

Required Profile

  •  

    Minimum 3 years of working experience in Java, J2EE, JPA, and Rest API.

    Experience working with Continuous Integration and Deployment in a DevOps-oriented product development environment, along with familiarity with modern MML.

    Strong knowledge of SQL/NOSQL databases, PL/SQL, ORM (MyBatis/Hibernate), and basic Linux/UNIX.

    Basic understanding of MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services.

    Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies like Scrum, XP, and Kanban.

    Ability to simplify complex solutions into discrete components to parallelize development efforts, reducing time to market.

    Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and Engineering peers to define, analyze, and estimate effort levels for delivering scalable solutions that meet customer requirements.

    Proficiency in writing high-quality, well-tested clean code with a strong grasp of Object-Oriented programming and SOLID design principles.

    Proficient in Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development.
