The Reefer Strategy and Steering team is part of Global Reefer at Hapag-Lloyd AG headquarters in Hamburg. We are responsible to execute the reefer strategy and steer the reefer business in close cooperation with our regional reefer point of entries, Trade Management and Global Container Steering.

We deliver commercial and operational business optimization, align equipment supply & demand, monitor, follow up on performance deviations and contribute to the best reefer product in our industry. 


Together with our international and dynamic reefer team, you will interact and communicate with the global Hapag-Lloyd reefer network in all regions and key reefer markets. You will be responsible to review and deliver reefer budget targets, steer & drive reefer performance and deliver a reliable reefer quality product for our customers.

Your responsibilities:

Specific areas of responsibilities include the following:    

  • Lead budget and forecasting process with relevant stakeholders
  • Implement reefer strategy and define required actions to achieve targets
  • Act as primary reefer performance manager for selective reefer markets and trades
  • Support Regions to drive performance relevant KPIs
  • Identify opportunities and execute reefer equipment demand & supply solutions in close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders
  • Identify market opportunities, performance challenges and potential for result optimization with the reefer team in Hamburg, Global Container Steering, Trade Management and our reefer teams in each Region
  • Support and participate in Reefer Fairs (Berlin Fruit Logistica, Hong Kong Asia Fruit Logistica and Madrid Fruit Attraction)
  • Support the analysis and implementation of reefer relevant projects
  • Identify and implement tool enhancements to automatize reefer performance management
  • Ownership of global Reefer BCO program 

 

Your profile:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Hapag-Lloyd reefer point of entries relevant for your scope of responsibility
  • Work proactive and independently yet discuss and progress your tasks together with the team
  • Apprenticeship and ideally university degree
  • Strong structured and efficient working style
  • Ability to think quantitatively, quickly analyse reports and data to prioritize opportunities
  • Comfortable processing data and drawing actionable conclusions to move forward
  • Able to drive consensus among key stakeholders with diverse needs and interests
  • Demonstrates well developed influencing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated, quality and performance minded individual
