Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding
Terminal and infrastructure investments are a crucial element of the strategy agenda. Hapag-Lloyd acquired substantial stakes or all shares of companies worldwide. The holding company for this new business line: Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding B.V., will be located in Rotterdam, Waalhaven. To steer all the acquired companies, Hapag-Lloyd will build a new Finance team. They will start with a team of 8 FTE .
Your responsibilities:
- Controlling of non-controlled shareholdings of the Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding and regular alignment with the management & finance teams of the minority shareholdings.
- Coordination of core financial processes including monthly/quarterly results and financial planning (incl. dividend planning) as per schedules of the Hapag-Lloyd Group.
- Coordination of corporate matters with regard to the shareholdings (e.g., appointment of directors, documentation of resolutions, compliance).
- Independent analysis and consulting of the management in the context of major investment projects of the shareholdings.
- Facilitate decision making in line with the overall Hapag-Lloyd strategy and preparation of decision documents for the Hapag-Lloyd directors in the respective boards representing Hapag-Lloyd’s strategic & operational interest in the respective shareholdings.
- Take active role in portfolio development of the Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding through, inter alia, identification & development of investment projects and development of current shareholdings.
- Implementation of participation controlling guideline of the Hapag-Lloyd Group for all participations of the Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding.
- Coordination with HQ Controlling (“functional line”) and the respective HQ functions of Hapag-Lloyd in the respective processes.
Your profile:
- Several years of practical experience in participation management – ideally within container terminal and/or container shipping industry.
- Strong communication and teamwork qualities as well as confident demeanor when interacting with Senior Management.
- Proven knowledge in controlling and financial analysis paired with high affinity for numbers and very good analytical skills.
- Experience in interdisciplinary project work with different departments.
- Independent and goal-oriented way of working with a high level of commitment and flexibility
- Excellent command of written and spoken English – command of German and/or Spanish advantageous.
- Confident handling of MS Office tools – ideally experience with participation management tools such as zetVisions.
