About us:

The Business Process Owner (BPO) will be responsible for developing, optimizing and maintaining the processes, methodologies and frameworks within the Marine Operations domain. You focus on ensuring efficiency, consistency and effectiveness in network execution processes to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives. You collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify areas for process improvement, define and implement changes, and measure process performance.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and implement optimized processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, standards and best practices
  • Support the Global Business Support department in establishing process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Support Performance Management in monitoring and evaluating process performance, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations and quality standards related to Marine Operations processes
  • Monitor process adherence and compliance through audits, assessments and lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Marine Community and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and automation within Marine Operations processes
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, soliciting suggestions and implementing innovative solutions

Your profile:

  • University degree in the field of business administration, operations management, logistics, transportation management and/or qualified shipping specialist or comparable qualification
  • Liner shipping experience from a larger international liner company is preferred
  • Proven experience in business process management, process optimization and process documentation in a corporate setting
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma and experience in driving process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools
