About us:

Our new Performance Steering Manager - Global Port & Terminal Operations is helping to bring our Port & Terminal Operations to the next level and will drive performance excellence across the organization. Together with stakeholders from the business and IT, we analyze, support and enhance Hapag-Lloyd's global cargo operations centrally from Hamburg and drive system enhance.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Shape the future global cargo operations strategy and act as an advocate for global implementation
  • Evaluate and push process standardization and review automation potential
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and senior leadership to provide actionable insights
  • Actively engage with our regional counterparts, facilitating best practice sharing and fostering strong collaborative relationships
  • Identify difficulties in the daily operations and support in findings customized solutions for our colleagues on ground
  • Actively impact decision-making processes by creating senior management presentations and establishing performance measures and trackings

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • University degree or similar qualification in logistics
  • Excellent presentation and argumentation skills and the ability to transfer key messages in a convincing way
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as independent decision-making
  • Very good knowledge and experienced in working with data basis such as QlikView, Excel and similar tools
  • Team player with collaborative mindset
  • Fluent business English, both written and spoken
