Responsibilities and tasks

  • Take care of BCM framework maintenance i.e. end to end process/plan, technology tools update, etc.
  • Support, define and maintain the plan of what to do and where to go during a crisis or disaster
  • Follow up and support in continuity process trainings to areas/regions
  • Liaise with BCM coordinators in all departments, to develop effective working relationships and documented BCP plans
  • Be responsible for training material updates (according to process/tool/changes) including development of train material and Web-Based trainings.
  • Identify, document and test business needs against the company infrastructure, and recovery strategies and gaps
  • IT link for technology developments
  • Follow up with stakeholders (i.e.  IT, BCM coordinators, CMT, GSC, etc) for individual tasks completions
  • Identify and make recommendations for change and adaptation to meet the needs of the business
  • Support our BCM director with critical components of the plan and all business activity creations in areas, QSC, GSC, Regions, HQ, Maritime etc.
  • Act as log keeper during crisis, in the Crisis Management Team headed by CIO

Requirements and qualifications

  • Degree in business informatics (or similar field) and/or practical experience in a similar position
  • Good knowledge of Hapag-Lloyds’ systems and processes
  • Involvement in previous roll-out and training of the Continuity Processes Experience in BCM as well as in crisis management and in the implementation of process changes would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of established standards of BCM / ITSCM (ISO 22301, ISO 27001 or BSI IT-“Grundschutz”) would be beneficial
  • Sound knowledge of all MS Office applications
  • Very Good command of written and spoken English
  • Strong performance orientation and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to obtain third party support for self and for the content/topics represented
  • High level of assertiveness
