Your responsibilities:

We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to join our Global Fuel Purchasing team. This critical role will involve developing business opportunities that align with our green fuel strategy, focusing on the technical aspects while considering economic viability. The person in charge will be in charge of for engaging with green fuels project developers, evaluating project formats, and prioritizing initiatives within these projects. This position requires a strong background in energy, bio/e-gas, and green fuels projects and technologies. Also, expertise in life cycle assessment (LCA) calculations and process simulation is essential.

  • Identify and assess business opportunities in the green fuels sector, considering technical and economic aspects. Develop strategies to expand our green fuel portfolio and drive sustainable growth
  • Evaluate and analyze large-scale project formats related to green fuels, considering technical feasibility, financial viability, and environmental impact. Conduct assessments and make recommendations for project prioritization
  • Collaborate with green fuels project developers, technology providers, and different stakeholders. Foster strong relationships to enhance project collaboration and identify partnerships for mutual benefit
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and trends to leverage emerging opportunities clearly
  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) calculations to evaluate the environmental impact of green fuel projects. Use process simulation tools to assess the technical feasibility and efficiency of various production methods.
  • Monitor and analyze global green fuel markets, including pricing, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory developments. Stay informed about market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor activities.
  • Oversee the execution of green fuel projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and manage potential risks and challenges clearly.

Your profile:

  • University degree in the field of business administration, engineering or close qualification
  • Several years of experience in energy, bio/e-gas, or green fuels projects and technologies. Verifiable track record in evaluating and prioritizing large-scale projects. Familiarity with LCA calculations and process simulation tools.
  • In-depth understanding of green fuels technologies, production processes, and industry standards. Familiarity with renewable energy sources and emerging green fuel innovations.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to evaluate detailed technical and economic data. Proficiency in numerical analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders clearly. Ability to build relationships and negotiate with project developers, technology providers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of global green fuel markets, including pricing mechanisms, supply chain dynamics, and regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with industry publications, such as Argus and Platts
  • Verifiable experience in managing large-scale projects, including planning, execution, and risk management. Organizational skills and ability to deal with many priorities simultaneously
