Your responsibilities:

We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to join our Global Fuel Purchasing team. You will play a important role in analyzing the global biofuels market, developing a long-term vision, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of biofuels on a global scale. Your expertise in biofuels and bio-methane purchasing, trading, and bunkering will be essential to our organization's success in transitioning towards sustainable energy sources.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the global biofuels market, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies. Provide regular reports and insights to key stakeholders
  • Develop a comprehensive long-term vision for our organization's biofuels strategy, aligning it with our sustainability goals and overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and investments in the biofuels sector
  • Ensuring cost-effective sourcing on a global scale. Set up and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage risks associated with biofuels procurement
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient bunkering operations
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and regulations in the biofuels industry. Attend conferences, participate in industry forums, and build a strong network within the biofuels community

Your profile:

  • University degree in the field of business administration, economics, engineering or close qualification
  • Verifiable experience in biofuels and bio-methane purchasing, trading, and bunkering within a global context
  • Familiarity with biofuels related regulations and certifications, market intelligence platforms such as Argus and Platts, and the ability to leverage these tools for market analysis and price forecasting
  • Strong analytic skills, with the ability to interpret detailed data and trends, and translate them into functional insights
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of securing cost-effective biofuels procurement agreements
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey detailed concepts to diverse audiences
  • Passion for sustainability and a true interest in driving the transition to renewable energy sources in the shipping industry
