As “FIS Solution Architect (m/f/d)”, you design and facilitate the architectural migration path of a major monolithic solution towards decoupled self-contained systems. You support the multiple developer teams in following that path, identifying bounded contexts, conceptualizing evolutionary migration steps, and driving architectural issues. You care for the integration architecture, a holistic data view and communication mechanisms.
Having an ear on the developer teams concerns during the transformation journey, you pro-actively take up needs for architectural decisions, evaluate and prototype solution options, and drive implementation of decisions into the organization.
Your profound suggestions consider cost impact, complexity, and performance impact.
Thus, you are an all-rounder, who enjoys both - working with the platform team to provide the technological basis, the transformation program office, as well as with multiple developer teams. Therefore, you work simultaneously in multiple projects and foster the connection and architectural knowledge exchange within the organization.
Your tasks include:
- Detailing the evolutionary migration path towards decoupled self-contained systems
- Continuous further architecting and developing the FIS architectural guidelines
- Elaborating and implementing solution options for architectural requirements
- Advising our development teams on the architectural design and migration of solutions
- Serving the transformation program office with regards to migration strategy development and governance
- Architectural support and interdisciplinary cooperation with IT teams and business stakeholders to clarify and solve cross-domain issues, and to govern architectural standards implementation
