We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Security People & Awareness to our team and strengthen the global awareness of and resilience to security threats across or company.

As Head of Security People & Awareness, reporting directly to the CISO and part of the CISO Leadership Team, you make an impact at Hapag-Lloyd by building and leading our CISO People & Awareness team and building and developing an engaging Information & Cyber Security people & awareness program.

Your responsibilities

As our Head of the Security People & Awareness team, you will be founding member of our long-term strategy to continuously improve the cyber security culture at Hapag-Lloyd.

  • Design, continuously develop, and execute our global Security People & Awareness Strategy and Program, including video outreach, articles, and content creation
  • Develop our CISO “Corporate Identity” together with the Corporate Communications department
  • Further develop and manage our platforms and capabilities for reporting phishing activities and running phishing simulation exercises
  • Ensure that the information & Cyber Security awareness program meets Hapag-Lloyd security policies, industry regulations, standards, and other compliancy requirements
  • Create specific education and protection programs targeted at specific risk groups
  • Empower and educate (in collaboration with our internal Academy) Hapag-Lloyd personnel, to minimize human cyber risks within the company
  • Collaborate with the rest of the CISO and IT departments in Security upskilling activities on topics like Secure Development
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and deliver it across multiple communication mediums
  • Localize and customize the security awareness program for our regional and area team
  • Define and report metrics to measure the effectiveness of the security awareness program
  • Interface regularly with the rest of our CISO teams to understand the current trends, to focus the awareness and education activities accordingly

Your profile

As the Head of the Security People & Awareness team, you are skilled at leadership, communication, and stakeholder management. You supplement these skills with:

  • Significant experience in security awareness roles or working in Learning & Development roles in IT or Security organizations
  • Presentation and training skills, the ability to translate technical and security "Jargon" for non-technical stakeholders, in an engaging, simple, and clear manner
  • Good understanding and passion for Information Security in general, and of information security risks and mitigating behaviors
  • Ability to think and create realistic simulations, such as phishing campaigns and other forms of social engineering attacks
  • Experience with relevant technical security controls, such as anti-phishing tools
  • Experience with different awareness/training delivery methods, including eLearning, simulations, gamification
  • Experience collaborating with (or working in) Corporate Communication teams
  • Understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR) and other security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10, CIS Top 20, NIST CSF etc.) is an advantage
  • Experience working in large international organizations and in handling large enterprise projects
  • Experience in transformational projects in IT or Information Security
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
