Main Objectives

  • As the Head of Sales Steering Team, direct and steer Team members to perform Sales Steering functions and duties at the best in their day to day work
  • Coaching Team members for their skill up and assess their competencies level as well as performances

Function and duties

  • Allocation management / optimize cargo mix in coordination with TM
  • Optimize SSYs within given allocations to AJP and maximize the space utilization
  • Manage Customer Allocation cycle / Support Sales Execution to submit a proper CA application per SSY (MR)
  • Identify which customers are behind expectations (MR and CU)
  • Join Sales Weekly meetings and prepare insights from Booking Curve
  • Prepare Budget / Trend / Weekly volume forecast
  • Weekly local Market feedback to Trade Managements for proper rate guide lines ex AJP
  • Update local customer info about GRI, all tariff related changes and disseminate it to the local market
  • Provide analysis reports to Area Management, Sales Team, Region, Trade Management
  • Local advertisement proposals / arrangements
  • Maintain local Inland Tariffs / Propose updated TAO/TAD/ACO/ACD to TMs
  • Lead / Coordination for the AJP Target Account Program
  • Coordination for Local Tender handling / Ensuring to protect new awards from MR customers,  as well as monitoring the fulfilment of CA
  • Validate opportunities defined by CI (QV) and help SMGs assign opportunities to SXCs
  • Support SMG/ SXC 1 on 1 sessions by identifying customers behind expectations based on past performance (MR & CU)
  • RF & Specials coordination with Region & GRM
  • Support Sales Director in defining aspiration level of MR Sales Planning and in reviewing performance against MR Sales Plans

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements

  • Sufficient experience in liner shipping business with good understanding of HL products and ship system
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and good interpersonal skills/ team building skills
  • Ability of multi-task, set priorities, organize work and implement action items
  • Demonstrated strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter. Self-motivated, resourceful and responsive
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Comprehensive knowledge of User Application Systems (FIS, QlikView, Web Focus, BOARD, MS Office)
