Responsibilities and Tasks
We are looking for a lead for our Commercial Business Intelligence team to develop the analytics portfolio. The Commercial BI team designs and develops analytics solutions to enable data driven decisions for Sales, Customer Service and Niche Business processes. In this role, you:
- Run the development of BI solutions to enable data-driven insights
- Work and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels in the Commercial organization and IT
- Oversee, mentor and support the BI team consisting of developers and analysts across different locations (Hamburg, Gdansk)
- Identify opportunities for advanced analytics solutions and foster their implementation
- Continuously develop the technical BI architecture working in close co-operation with our BIA foundation team
- Evolve the team in terms of product management, requirements engineering and consulting
Requirements and Qualifications:
- You have a university degree, in e.g. business informatics or natural sciences
- You bring profound knowledge and proven experience in Business Intelligence and ideally have leadership experience
- You have experience in the design and development of modern cloud data warehouse architecture and data integration
- You also possess extensive experience in building up and maintaining ETL processes
- You are characterized by the drive to constantly learn new things and excitement about applying analytical and technical expertise to the world of global logistics
Skills:
- You understand, explain and discuss complex topics in fluent English
- You enjoy working in a diverse and international organization
- You are at ease working in an agile, professional environment where business needs change dynamically
German language expectations: We expect all international candidates to be willing to learn at least the basics of the German language in case they are accepted for the position. This will enable you to participate in social and community life in Germany and at our company premises in the best possible way.
