The HLAG e-Solutions team manages collaboration between the Hapag-Lloyd and digital platforms (like INTTRA), standardization bodies, industry partners as well as start-ups. We advise Hapag-Lloyd on its dynamic journey towards tomorrow by pushing external innovation, the further APIzation and new modes of digital collaboration (like Blockchain) incl necessary Biz models.

Your responsibilities:

As a central part of HLAGs e-Solutions team you will:

  • Steer products within the context of external portals for Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Set up, monitor and permanently improve onboarding, support and data quality processes for connected portals
  • Run in-depth requirements analyses for various digital business processes
  • Watch out for technological and digital trends concerning our industry, so that you can suggest respective measures to be taken
  • Drive initiatives around technological innovation (e.g. IoT, AI, lowcode, blockchain) from the initial idea to the explorative implementation together with our partners
  • Conceptualize and evaluate digital business concepts in order to bulletproof Hapag-Lloyd for tomorrow’s market
  • Take over responsibility as a product manager for cross-functional and cross-company topics
  • Steer products within the context of external portals for Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Your profile:

What you'll need to succeed

  • Completed studies within Business Informatics, Business Engineering or similar subjects
  • Experience with the creation and illustration of complex business processes
  • Extensive analytical capabilities
  • In-depth experience with digital technologies (e.g. EDI, API, Data Analytics) and business models within Supply Chain Management
  • Multiple years of experience as a project manager, product owner or –manager in the logistics industry
  • Good methodical knowledge of moderation and ideation techniques, such as design thinking
  • Ability to quickly absorb new knowledge, remain flexible and highly engaged in the task at hand
  • Natural drive and passion for finding new technical and business opportunities, as well as the willingness to constantly learn and improve
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Very good written and spoken English

German language expectations: We expect all international candidates to be willing to learn at least the basics of the German language in case they are accepted for the position. This will enable you to participate in social and community life in Germany and at our company premises in the best possible way.

Nice if you have:

  • Knowledge of Industry standards and Frameworks
  • Experience in leading larger projects or programs
  • Understanding of HL IT Products
  • Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
