About the Knowledge Center:


The Knowledge Center, located in Gdańsk, is a hub for innovation and develop state-of-the-art business and technology solutions to help us navigate the future. And we want to do that together with you. We are looking for an expert experienced in Polish accounting who wants to work in a multinational company for limited contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking care of day to day finance and accounts operations
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with Polish Accounting Standards for statutory purposes and in accordance with IFRS for group reporting purposes.
  • Taking responsibility for the Financial Accounting, including monthly group reporting and annual statutory reporting
  • Leading monthly and annual closing process based on the group closing schedule
  • Initiating activities for operational cost reduction
  • Supporting implementation and application of corporate policies in accounting area
  • Supervising fulfillment of VAT and Corporate Tax declarations
  • Measuring effectiveness and optimization of accounting processes
  • Revaluation of fixed assets
  • Reviewing balances and balances prior to month-end closing
  • Verifying settlements and initiating corrective actions
  • Central Statistical Office reporting (GUS)
  • Other tasks and projects as required.

Requirements:  

  • 3+ years of experience as Chief accountant or similar position, preferably in an international environment
  • Higher education in the field of economics, accounting or finance
  • Good command of the English language
  • Knowledge of polish tax law, the Accounting Act and International Financial Reporting Standards - is a must
  • VAT, CIT knowledge
  • Knowledge of accounting programs (SAP, Concur, Symphony)
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Independence, responsibility, attention to detail, punctuality
  • Experience in leading small team - nice to have
