Team and Project overview:

The Digital Talents Team is a highly collaborative and geographically dispersed unit (Hamburg & Gdańsk), serving as an essential connector between multiple Hapag-Lloyd departments, including HR, Corporate Communications, and all Tech-focused teams. The team is dedicated to advancing Hapag-Lloyd's most valuable success factor, our employees, through thoughtful and diverse initiatives. Their mission is to equip our IT staff with the skillsets necessary to confidently navigate any future tech-related challenges.

Current projects include a wide range of endeavors, such as establishing a robust Hapag-Lloyd Tech brand and fostering a strong engineering culture among all technology employees. The team also focuses on Tech talent acquisition, reskilling and upskilling programs while boosting internal and external communication relating to technology matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with managers in identifying training and development needs of employees.
  • Supporting senior IT management in strategic planning of skills development.
  • Creating competence matrices and career paths.
  • Developing and coordinating the IT / Digital training content and curriculum together with our newly founded Hapag-Lloyd Academy.
  • Developing and establishing frameworks and processes in support of talent mobility across the IT organization.
  • Improving existing and implementing new HR processes for Hapag-Lloyd’s Tech departments.

 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, Psychology or a related field with a keen interest in Information Technology.
  • Minimum 3+ years of diverse professional experience in HR (preferably international organizations).
  • Experience in designing and implementing new HR processes and practices – is a must.
  • Good understanding of current and emerging IT and Digital technology trends.
  • Experience in HR tools related to the identification and management of employee development programs – is a must.
  • Strong spoken and written Polish and English language skills (preferably C1).
  • Basic knowledge of Polish Labor Law.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ease in building business relationships with people at different levels of the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude.
