Hapag-Lloyd is on a journey of digitalization and modernization of the IT landscape and is currently in the progress of ramping up the Master Data Team for all core processes. During the next years of our digitalization journey, we will implement best-in-class IT solutions for our master data connection, thereby renewing several of our core system where data is connected to other systems - e.g. SAP and Salesforce and our own developed FIS (Freight Information System). Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • As part of the agile product team, you will take responsibility for the global implementation and rollout of the new master data functionalities within our FIS System, which closely connects to Salesforce and SAP (Migrating to SAP S4/H)
  • In close cooperation with the product owner, you will design new features and detail requirements for our master data solutions
  • Together with your team, you will analyze complex business processes and find creative solutions to existing and new challenges
  • You will be part of an international, agile development team moving our solutions to a modern cloud-based environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

What you'll need to succeed

  • University degree or a comparable education within a relevant field
  • Experience in implementing solutions related to master data, preferably cloud-based
  • Hands-on experience in requirements engineering and close communication with business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset, proactive and solution-oriented work style
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills as well as intercultural competence
  • Experience in agile methods
  • As an international company, we require a good command of written and spoken English
  • Interest in technology and innovation – since we enjoy good discussions around the technologies and solutions that we’re using

Nice if you have:

  • Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce would be highly appreciated
  • Experience in the development with Java EE and supplementing technologies like JPA, CDI and JUnit
  • Experience in cloud migration projects
  • Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
