Functions and Duties

  • Drive the highest levels of quality towards our customers, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd
  • Drive performance across all Areas within the Region by exceeding key performance indicators deliverables
  • Measurement and steering of key performance indicators for sales for the region e.g. Budget / Forecasting / Weekly volume forecast and utilization, revenue, contribution,  opportunities and visits
  • Measurement and performance improvement of relevant quality key performance indicators
  • Lead area performance calls with Areas and Trade Management with the goal of improving the regional performance
  • Support Areas for Tender Bids
  • Monitoring tender business and support Areas with nomination tracking
  • Driving continuous performance improvement across all Sales channels
  • Responsible for coordinating relevant sales matters related to the Region
  • Support and / or Implement Global, Regional and/or Area Sales projects
  • Guiding Areas regarding Global, Regional and/or Area Sales projects
  • Team dimensioning and continuous evaluation for rightsizing
  • CRM Opportunity Management (Module and process owner)
  • Roll out relevant Sales Trainings, eg; Sales soft skill & product trainings, core selling and value selling etc
  • Support Customer experience survey and other relevant surveys
  • Conduct commercial check backs
  • Campaign Management
  • Premium product roll-outs
  • External and internal Communication (Hapag-Lloyd Internal Portal and team sites updates)
  • Representation in exhibitions and fairs
  • Ensure regional adherence to regulatory affairs and tariff filings
  • Driving and monitoring developments and success on Key account program

Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements

  • University degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced negotiation, decision-making and presentation skills, self-confident and friendly when dealing with others
  • Demonstrated strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, resourceful and responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to be multi-task, set priorities, organize work and implement action items
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work under pressure
