Senior Coordinator, IT and Customer Service Import

This role is in charge of:

  • Providing first level help desk support and works closely with the Information Technology Service Desk (ITDS).
  • Installing and configuring laptops, desktops and software.
  • Providing general support for all sites within the company.
  • Handling of inventory control and maintenance of equipment for company.
  • Maintaining servers, drives, Local Area Network and Wide Area Network support and tape backups 
  • Providing training on hardware and software as needed
  • Ensuring that all site maintenance is completed.
  • Supporting Intranet Web Development, Web Server and proxy server. 
  • Ensuring that all departmental and functional training requirements are fulfilled.
  • Providing customers with arrival notices upon request.
  • Sending customs manifest to Customs and NPA via XML and EDI for all ports.
  • Handling amendment request.
  • Communicating with customers in case of exception handling of shipment, customs or scanner stop.
  • Liaising with partners on shared vessels.
  • Liaising with Port terminals/ICD on stemming of containers.
  • Clarifying customers queries.

Technical Competencies

 

  • Knowledge in Networks (LAN, WAN) and communication systems
  • Highly analytic and independent way of working
  • Ability to present complex correlations in a clear way.
  • Knowledge of user application systems and Proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Team player / Flexible / Cooperative
  • Solid Communication skills
  • Active knowledge of market, maritime documents and commercial terms
  • Active knowledge of import techniques
  • Active knowledge of English Maritime Language
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in combination of Information Technology (IT) and Customer Service functions.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology Systems, Data Networking or Computer System Administration
  • IT professional Certifications
