Your responsibilities:

  • Participation in the SAP S4/HANA project for the implementation of RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting)
  • Collaboration and contribution to the set-up of the new Revenue Accounting Department within HQ
  • Participation in the design of future revenue accounting process models and their implementation to ensure process harmonization and standardization on a global level for Hapag-Lloyd: Simplify - Standardize – Scale
  • Analysis of requirements and components for revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS15 and German GAAP  
  • Analysis and recording of revenue relevant processes in Liner Shipping in connection with local/ new segment business    
  • Cross-functional alignment on revenue relevant matters and processes (e.g., Controlling, Group Accounting, Networks Cooperation, IT, Customer Service)  
  • Conduct process training, including identifying training needs and developing training materials 

Your profile:

  • Very good technical accounting knowledge, acquired through university/technical college studies preferably with a focus on international accounting (IFRS) as well as relevant professional experience  
  • Very good SAP knowledge as well as knowledge of other SAP modules desirable (e.g., SAP FI, SAP-MM)
  • Working experience with FIS desirable
  • Open to change processes and new ideas 
  • Appropriate professional experience in one of our regions or areas combined with experience from an assignment in and/or close cooperation within accounting headquarters
  • Broad process experience beyond the functional areas
  • Very good analytical skills as well as a structured and goal-oriented way of working
  • Above-average commitment and good assertiveness; high degree of initiative and independence
  • Enjoy teamwork and project work
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
