Tasks and responsibilities :

  • Being a member of our international and dynamic team, you will actively guide and support our global Special Cargo/DG organization in digital, commercial, and quality matters
  • Provide active support to Hapag-Lloyd Regions and Areas for all business development and market intelligence topics
  • Support the Global Special Cargo & DG Strategy with analytics, improvements and implementation of current and new Products (i.e. Special Cargo Quote, etc.)   
  • Ownership of commercial, performance management and budgeting processes
  • Contribute to a product specific marketing plan and execution
  • Provide product overarching support on IT and Business Projects

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Completed apprenticeship as liner shipping professional or similar qualification along with a minimum of 2-3 years on the job experience is needed in this role. Bachelor’s degree would be beneficial
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS-Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Special Cargo and DG knowledge is of advantage, but the willingness and attitude to learn is required when it comes to supporting our teams worldwide
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Hapag-Lloyd applications (QlikView, HIP, FIS) or at least a high willingness and attitude to learn the handling of the tools
  • Willingness to travel
  • Very good command of written and spoken English
