Main Objectives

  • Reporting to the Director of Marine Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for the leadership, hands-on guidance and optimization of the Terminal Performance, Scheduling and Regional Coordination Committee teams.

Function and Duties

  • Responsible for Terminal Performance, Scheduling and Regional Coordination Committee (RCC) teams and KPIs.
  • Driving vessel schedule reliability through schedule optimization – forecasting delays, creating alternate plans.
  • Recommends service improvement initiatives, develop KPIs, follow through with terminals and ensure to promote schedule reliability and cost effectiveness.
  • Setting of periodical business plans, budgets, and forecast and performance reports.
  • Coordinate the development, interpretation and implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs and directives.
  • Work closely to cultivate a symbiotic operational / commercial relationship with cross functional departments to leverage on various capabilities to drive and achieve KPIs set.
  • Coordination with Global and Regional HLAG stakeholders, include Consortium committee and Partners for all Terminal Performance, Scheduling and RCC related issues.
  • Coordination and drive digitalization on efficiency improvement for vessel and terminal operations.
  • Oversee all Ports information in Region Asia – ensure up to date maintenance

Requirements

  • Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Business, Maritime or equivalent with 10 years of management experience within the Shipping industry especially in Marine Operations & interaction in shipping consortiums.
  • Knowledge in stowage planning is highly advantageous.
  • Management experience for a total team size of at least 10 employees.
  • Sound understanding in the management and operation of a Regional Coordination Center and ability to develop and optimize the department to its’ fullest potential.

Business Systems/IT

  • Expert knowledge of HL systems FIS, Compass and other applications highly advantageous.
  • Expert knowledge of user application systems (MS Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • ARIS work process knowledge & systems support optimization highly advantageous.
  • Ability to promptly process data and requests under pressure.
  • Proven track record in partaking in automation projects and improving system efficiencies.
